DfL have a great deal of experience of lighting issues involved in planning control. Lighting of sports pitches, tennis courts and car parks is often poorly designed and can cause unnecessary problems and prevent projects being accepted. Proper consideration of the brightness of signs and controlling upward light is essential in good design.
