Designs for Lighting Ltd is a successful independent lighting consultancy, specialising in highway and architectural lighting design. Our expanding client base includes local authorities, planning / civil consultants, civil engineering practices, and electrical contractors. Recent projects include urban regeneration, highway lighting, environmental schemes, commercial lighting, column replacement programmes and full council LED / CMS upgrades. 

We are currently interested in expanding our existing Winchester team as follows:

1) Lighting Designer with duties including:

• Lighting designs using standard lighting design software. 
• Preparation of client specifications and contract documents. 
• Project Management. 
• Feasibility studies & lighting strategies. 
• Light Impact Assessments.

We would expect the successful candidate to have completed or working towards the ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma, or be educated to the equivalent of HNC or degree level in a relevant subject. In addition, candidates must be able to also show a commitment to the profession by working towards MILP and IEng status.

2) Engineering Assistant with duties including:

• Prepare CAD drawings. 
• Assist in production of lighting designs. 
• Project Administration. 
• Assist with Sales and Marketing roles.

We would expect the successful candidate to demonstrate their core educational achievements and how they feel they would be suited to the role and the business.

Suitable candidates for either position will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to demonstrate a basic working knowledge of CAD. They will ideally have a full clean driving licence.
